Aditya Singhal Wins India's best dramebaaz

Pune boy Aditya Singhal, 12, emerged as the biggest dramebaaz on the kids reality show, India's Best Dramebaaz, at the grand finale aired on Saturday.

Son of a publisher, Aditya won the Golden Keeda trophy and a few gift hampers. He was handed over his spoils at a glittering ceremony by film- maker Anurag Basu and his cojudges Sonali Bendre and Vivek Oberoi. Unlike other celebrity judges, Anurag hasn't made any promise to winners on the show.

Despite having consistently won appreciation for his spontaneity and versatility ever since the show started in January, acting in films is the last thing on Aditya's mind as of now. The reason is the advice given by Anurag. While mentoring the kids, he stressed at giving more time on studies and not to get swayed by Bollywood offers so early in life.
" Anurag dada stressed on honing my acting ability and working on my voice modulation instead of running from one studio to another in search of work," says Aditya.

" Although I am keen to work in TV serials and films and want to become an actor when I grow up but I do not want to jump to offers right away," says Aditya.

A Class VII student of Bishop's Coed School in Pune, Aditya kept everyone in splits mimicking teachers and friends. He has also participated in several state- level acting competitions through an acting institute called Natya Sanskar.

The other five finalists were Anjali Astha from Mohali, Chinmay Deshkar from Nagpur, Mehnaaz Mann from Mohani, Nihar Gite from Shirdi and Praneet Sharma from Jaipur.

In the final round, Aditya enacted the famous scene from the film Deewar and floored everyone as he delivered the dialogue " Mere paas maa hai". " I learnt acting in front of the camera. It involves a lot of energy," he says.
